Working as a Consultant with the Not for Profit Organization especially in the field of promotion of Farm & Non-Farm Rural Enterprises as part of Alternate Livelihood Options in Rural Areas. Especially in the area of Wild Apricot, Millets, Natural Fibres, Plant Extracts used in Cosmetic/ Toiletries Industries, Non-Edible Oils etc & addressing challenges of Climate Change & Disaster Management through rural enterprise diversification.

Deliverables

• Exploring potential rural enterprises as per resources & regions especially in the hill states of India and generate funds from Govt./ Donor Agencies through Proposal Writing, Baseline Assessments and Value Chain Studies etc.

The”REGIONAL ECONOMIC DEVELOPMENT PROGRAM of GTZ in Uttarakhand focuses on the development of selected value-chains and clusters with potential for inclusive growth, the creation of improved framework conditions for pro-poor market development and the improvement of market access for small and medium –sized enterprises and producer organizations.

• Undertook Financial Value Chain Analysis and Enterprise Development Plan for Uttrakhand in the areas of Off- Season Vegetables, Eco-Tourism and Medicinal Plants.

• Analyzed economic aspects of the selected value chains with following key deliverables:

b) overall value added generated by the chain and shares of value addition at different stages.

• Value Chain analysis through series of primary interviews with key State officials and voluminous secondary data contiguous to the Terms of Reference and to emerging situations that impact agricultural activity in Punjab.

• Researching and monitoring selected markets and conducted market analysis of Central Food Procurement under MSP and farm economics and market demand of wheat and paddy in Punjab.
